Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Bogo (ranked 3466 p4p, 4849 weight class) and Russel Taric (ranked 330 p4p, 411 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Bogo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russel Taric!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bogo gets a double leg takedown into Taric's guard.
Bogo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Taric is keeping the position for now.
Our spies down at at Catch Wrestling L.A. inform us that Taric has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Taric escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bogo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Taric is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bogo defends well.
Bogo controls from within his opponent's guard.
Bogo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taric on the ground.

Taric looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bogo stands up over Taric, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Taric wants to sweep here but Bogo controlling him for the moment.

Taric is working an open guard so Bogo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Taric feints and then cracks Bogo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bogo down.
Bogo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Taric darts in looking for a takedown but Bogo gets double underhooks and turns Taric into the cage.
Taric lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bogo circles away quickly and effectively.
Taric swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bogo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Taric sprawls and moves away.
Taric looks winded!
Bogo clobbers Taric with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Russel Taric has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Taric misses the target.
Bogo attempts a counter takedown but Taric avoids it well and moves away.

Bogo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Taric!

Bogo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Taric is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Taric prevents Bogo from moving into mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bogo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taric keeps working.

and Bogo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Taric wants to control but Bogo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bogo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taric is just riding it out for now. Bogo eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Taric on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Taric shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bogo sprawls well. Bogo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Taric gets slowly back to his feet.

Bogo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bogo tries to get out of the position.

Bogo keeping moving, preventing Taric from controlling successfully.
Bogo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Taric's guard.

Bogo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Taric is trying to control the position but Bogo postures up.

Bogo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bogo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taric has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bogo has managed to get both his arms back between Taric's legs - danger averted.
Taric is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bogo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Taric looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Taric looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Taric!

Bogo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Bogo is staying active underneath Taric, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Bogo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bogo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
