Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erran Morad (ranked 1908 p4p, 954 weight class) and James Quin (ranked 204 p4p, 120 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erran Morad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Quin! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quin checks a low kick from Morad. A swing and a miss from Quin. Quin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Morad fires out a quick counter leg kick but Quin just manages to avoid it. Quin ducks under a wild hook from Morad. Quin misses the shot to the body. Morad closes the distance and clinches. Quin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Quin works the jab nicely. Morad throws a low kick but Quin avoids it. Quin takes a swing at Morad's ribcage but misses. Quin walks into a stiff left hand from Morad. Morad seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Morad throws a low kick but Quin avoids it. Quin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Erran Morad has been cut. Quin misses with a looping right. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morad's head. Quin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. A head kick misses from Morad. Morad lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morad cracks Quin with an open hand slap. Morad with a jab. Morad throws the left hand but Quin avoids the punch easily. Morad misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Morad. Morad obviously looking to wear him down.
Quin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Morad sees it coming and avoids it easily. Morad takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A bone on bone clash there as Quin blocks the leg kick.
Quin throws out a counter right but Morad avoids it with no problem. Quin dodges the punch combination from Morad.
Quin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Morad fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Quin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Quin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Morad on the side of the head. Quin moves out of range as Morad strikes. Quin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Morad. Morad throws a front kick aimed at Quin's knee but Quin avoids it well. Quin throws a lazy right hand but Morad sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Quin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morad misses with a lunging right hand
and Quin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice defenses there by Quin. A little jabbing left from Quin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Quin checks the leg kick. Morad throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Morad avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A big right from Quin misses. As Quin backs away, Morad returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Morad uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Quin. Good standup being displayed there by Morad as he connects with a hook. Morad moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Quin lands a head shot. Quin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Quin misses with a hook. Morad ducked under it nicely. Morad takes one to the chin there. Morad takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Morad is looking to clinch but Quin is avoiding it.

Quin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morad was well out of range. Poor timing from Quin. Quin blocks a low kick nicely. Morad misses with a body shot.
Morad lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Morad cracks Quin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice defenses there by Quin. Morad takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Morad throws the left hand but Quin avoids the punch easily. Quin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Morad. Morad throws a body shot but no joy. Quin looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Morad misses the jab. Quin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Morad. Morad tries to move into range but Quin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Quin throws a body shot but no joy. A slow jab from Quin misses its intended target. Morad throwing a counter right hand but Quin manages to avoid it. A jab from Morad misses. Quin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Morad fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Quin avoids it really well and circles away. Quin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Morad slips a jab from Quin. Morad slips a straight right by Quin. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
James Quin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Erran Morad's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Quin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Morad connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Quin scrambles back to his feet. Quin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Morad. Morad throws a half hearted mid kick. Quin throws a shot to the body.
Quin misses with a looping right. Quin misses the shot to the body. Quin looks to land a right hand but Morad moved out of range. Nice body punch from Quin. Morad thows a left - swing and a miss! Morad throws a sloppy head kick and Quin moves out of range easily. Quin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Morad sees it coming and avoids it easily. It looked like Morad wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Nice straight punches there by Quin. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Quin. Morad is rocked! Morad get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Morad stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Quin runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). James Quin! After winning the bout, James Quin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
