Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Arones (ranked 459 p4p, 249 weight class) and Junkyard Dog (ranked 61 p4p, 34 weight class). Arones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lonely is the night. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog pushes Arones up against the cage in a clinch.
Arones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Dog swings wildly with an uppercut but Arones uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Arones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dog takes a swing at Arones's ribcage but misses.
Arones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dog connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Arones scrambles back to his feet.

Arones is looking to wear down Dog with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Arones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Dog fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Arones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Arones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Arones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dog looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Arones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
