PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Piano (ranked 10 p4p, 4 weight class) and Conor The Barbarian (ranked 3 p4p, 1 weight class). Piano comes into the arena with Rick going ham on a bitch blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 23 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor The Barbarian!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piano misses with a body shot
and The Barbarian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts The Barbarian, as that shot connected.
Piano throws a push kick but The Barbarian slaps the foot to one side.
The Barbarian doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Piano counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The Barbarian takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rick Piano is the new heavyweight champion!
A very excited looking Rick Piano rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
In defeat, Conor The Barbarian stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back'.
