Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Dvorak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adriano Anderson! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Anderson. Dvorak closes the distance and pushes Anderson back into the cage. Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Anderson tries to land knees in the clinch but Dvorak avoids the damage to the body. Dvorak throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Anderson blocks it with crossed arms. Anderson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dvorak prevents it.

Dvorak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dvorak tries to clinch up. Dvorak instigates a clinch. Dvorak is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Anderson can't fight it off and eventually Dvorak manages to take the fight to the floor. Anderson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dvorak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dvorak manages to end up in side control. Anderson looks gassed! Dvorak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Anderson tries to clinch but Dvorak moves out of range. Igor Dvorak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson is looking to clinch. Anderson tries to clinch there but Dvorak circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dvorak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dvorak tries to clinch up. That's three minutes gone in the round. Dvorak changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Dvorak throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Anderson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Dvorak prevents Anderson from standing back up.
Dvorak winds up and cracks Anderson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Anderson manages to escape and get back to his feet! Dvorak tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Anderson counters by clinching up.

Dvorak bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Anderson wants to get back to his feet. Anderson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dvorak scores with a takedown into Anderson's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dvorak is in close to Anderson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dvorak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Anderson takes the fight into the clinch. Dvorak tries to land a knee to the head but Anderson blocks with his arms.

Anderson connects with a high kick. Dvorak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dvorak lands in his opponent's guard. Dvorak throwing strikes but missing. Dvorak might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dvorak decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dvorak fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to clinch up but Dvorak keeps it at a distance. Dvorak decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dvorak looks to land a strike but Anderson avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Anderson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Adriano Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dvorak looking to pass the guard. Dvorak throws and elbow that misses. Anderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dvorak's guard. Nice move by Anderson! Dvorak is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Anderson throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Dvorak manages to pass to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Igor Dvorak. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dvorak, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
