Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Faucci (ranked 3120 p4p, 2979 weight class) and Toni Kozulj (ranked 347 p4p, 333 weight class). Kozulj comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Zemuska kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faucci misses with a wild body shot.
Kozulj looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Faucci is fending him off so far but Kozulj persists. Nope, Faucci circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Faucci, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Kozulj counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Kozulj rushes Faucci and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Faucci prevents a takedown attempt there.

Kozulj has Faucci pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Faucci manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Chris Faucci has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toni Kozulj.

Kozulj escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kozulj lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faucci circles away quickly and effectively.
Kozulj tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Faucci misses with a double jab.
Kozulj closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Faucci did well to prevent Kozulj getting side control.
Kozulj is trying to control the action in half guard but Faucci is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kozulj is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Faucci defends it well.
Faucci is trying to stand.
Faucci on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Faucci tries to get out of the position.
Kozulj is looking to take a break and control but Faucci is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Faucci is looking to escape.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Faucci could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Faucci stuffs the takedown attempt from Kozulj. Kozulj gets slowly back to his feet.
A cross from Faucci lands.
Faucci stalks Kozulj and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kozulj's face. Kozulj staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Faucci feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kozulj sprawling to the canvas! Kozulj rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Faucci finish him?!
Kozulj is rocked!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kozulj is defended easily by Faucci.
Faucci drops Kozulj with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kozulj looks back up at him and smiles so Faucci waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Faucci looks to score with a jab to the body but Kozulj is just out of range.
Kozulj drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Faucci defends it well.
Kozulj seems to have recovered his senses.
Faucci connects with a combination that backs up Kozulj into the cage. Faucci lands a flurry of punches that gets past Kozulj's guard. Kozulj is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Faucci bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Faucci!
