Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Assuncao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nate Diaz! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz forces Assuncao back against the cage and clinches. Assuncao missing with knees to the body.
Our sources have told us that Assuncao has been working on his elbows in the gym. A nice left hand lands by Diaz.
Diaz trying to control the position but instead, Assuncao has worked for underhooks and has pushed Diaz into the cage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Diaz. Assuncao is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Diaz is defending well for now. Diaz struggles to land a body shot inside as Assuncao controls his hands.
Assuncao tries to land knees in the clinch but Diaz avoids the damage to the body. Assuncao is breathing heavily. Diaz is working Assuncao over against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Diaz. Diaz taking a breather. Assuncao blocks a body shot from Diaz. Diaz lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz lands a right hand. Assuncao tries a knee to the head but Diaz blocks it.

Diaz is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Assuncao rolls with it to try and escape but Diaz cranks on the arm and Assuncao is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
