Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel Kangas (ranked 2462 p4p, 3266 weight class) and Mladen Petric (ranked 313 p4p, 394 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kangas looks for the body kick but Petric saw that one coming.
Petric throws a hook but Kangas avoids it easily.
Kangas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Petric! But no joy.
Petric checks the leg kick nicely there.
Petric lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Petric.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kangas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Petric has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Petric and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
