The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mustonen throws a quick inside leg kick.

and Hall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mustonen won't be happy with that.

Mustonen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mustonen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hall in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mustonen tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hall!

In his post fight interview, Ralph Hall started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
