Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Toby Vertongen (ranked 1991 p4p, 2946 weight class) and Shane O Malley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Malley has chosen Someone Like Me - by: Jon Connor as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Toby Vertongen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shane O Malley's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw O Malley working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

O Malley throws a hook to the side of Vertongen's head but Vertongen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
O Malley shoots in looking for a takedown but Vertongen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing O Malley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
