Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carcarah Catartes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martins Voranovskis!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catartes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Voranovskis.
Voranovskis attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Voranovskis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Catartes's waist but Catartes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Voranovskis off to one side.
Catartes scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Voranovskis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Catartes did well to prevent Voranovskis getting side control.
Catartes is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Voranovskis has latched onto it... Big trouble! Voranovskis pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Catartes is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Voranovskis!
