Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ruben Flijers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bela Rakosi!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flijers has Rakosi up against the cage in a clinch.
Rakosi blocks an uppercut.
Rakosi digs a right hand underneath Flijers's ribcage. Flijers let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Rakosi throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Flijers tries to pull guard but Rakosi holds him up against the cage and eventually Flijers drops back down to his feet.

Rakosi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rakosi works Flijers's body with a nice hook.
Flijers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rakosi was well out of range. Poor timing from Flijers.
A lazy left from Rakosi finds it's target.
Rakosi scores with the left hand. Flijers knows he should have avoided that one.
We've been told by Flijers's head coaches at Cope's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Rakosi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Flijers is breathing heavily.
Rakosi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rakosi digs a good body shot into Flijers's ribs.
Rakosi lands a right hook to the body.
Rakosi lands a jab to Flijers's midsection.
Rakosi jabs Flijers to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Rakosi closes the distance and clinches.
Flijers creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Come on Rakosi - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Flijers jumps guard but Rakosi stands there with Flijers around his waist. Flijers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Flijers misses with a hook to the ribs.
Flijers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rakosi just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruben Flijers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rakosi lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Flijers backwards.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rakosi.
Rakosi lands a left hand.
A right handed body shot lands from Rakosi.
Flijers misses with some punches.
Rakosi avoids a wild elbow strike from Flijers.
Nice body punch from Rakosi.
A hook to the body from Rakosi.

Rakosi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ruben Flijers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rakosi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Flijers under the eye.
Rakosi with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Flijers takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rakosi closes the distance and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rakosi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Flijers tries to land knees in the clinch but Rakosi avoids the damage to the body.

Rakosi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Flijers looks to score with a jab to the body but Rakosi is just out of range.
Flijers moves to clinch but Rakosi breaks away
and Rakosi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Flijers is rocked!
Rakosi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rakosi shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Flijers takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Rakosi sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Flijers bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bela Rakosi!
