Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carey Mahoney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Julio Regueiro!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Regueiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Regueiro tries to get set, Mahoney tries to push him back and clinch up but Regueiro manages to avoid the attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mahoney is fighting to break Regueiro's control of his arms but Regueiro is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Regueiro isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mahoney stacks Regueiro on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mahoney!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carey Mahoney will probably get the nod.

Julio Regueiro decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
