Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stephen Stephenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jon Lemedson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Lemedson.
Lemedson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stephenson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Stephenson is pushing Lemedson's head away, looking to escape. Lemedson manages to hold on to the position though.
Stephenson struggling a bit here.
Stephenson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stephenson tries to get out of the position.
Stephenson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Stephenson is trying to maintain the position but Lemedson is very close to passing his half guard.
Stephenson has one foot on Lemedson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Lemedson fails with the takedown.
Stephenson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lemedson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stephenson cracks Lemedson with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lemedson wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stephenson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Stephenson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lemedson to see if he's OK.
Stephenson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lemedson!
Lemedson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Lemedson is in a horrible position here. Stephenson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lemedson is rocked!
Stephenson postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Lemedson out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Stephenson goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Stephen Stephenson!
