Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mareth Line (ranked 670 p4p, 1053 weight class) and Blue Cup (ranked 94 p4p, 146 weight class). Line comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blue Cup!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Line as he connects with a hook.
Cup misses with the combination.
As Cup looks to move away, Line throws a big counter combo but Cup just gets out of the way.
Cup walks into a jab.
Line scores with a kick to the midsection.
Line connects with a single shot there.
Line keeps the fight on the outside.
Cup throws a nice looking combination but Line bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Line misses with a wild combination.
Line slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Line ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cup moves away.

Cup shoots in and gets a takedown into Line's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Line avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You can see the frustration on Cup's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Mareth Line will probably get the nod.

It looks like Mareth Line has been cut.

Line drags the fight down to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Line has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cup can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Line escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cup gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cup is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Cup has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Line is proving hard to escape from.
Line working a defensive guard but Cup passes into half guard.

Line looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Cup wants to lay and pray for a moment but Line keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cup seems to be working for a kimura but Line defends the submission attempt.

Cup wants to work for an arm triangle but Line is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Line trying to hold on to Cup's head to control him but Cup postures up.

Cup is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Line makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Line.

Line is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Heavy Metal, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Line is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cup wants to stand but Line has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Cup wants to control from the top but Line keeps moving.
Line looking for a sweep. Not yet Line, not yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cup got a little sloppy there for a moment and Line has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cup has managed to get both his arms back between Line's legs - danger averted.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Line stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cup tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Line paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blue Cup is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Line blocks a low kick nicely.
Line swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Cup scores with a nice right hand.
Cup throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cup throws a looping overhand right but Line ducks down to avoid it.
Mareth Line is winning the standup battle so far.
Cup has a takedown stuffed.
Line throwing a counter right hand but Cup manages to avoid it.
Line swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Line avoids the body shot from Cup.
Cup connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Line is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Cup closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Line clobbers Cup with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Cup is rocked!
Cup switches off momentarily and Line cracks him with a monster right hand! Cup topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Line dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Line!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mareth Line!
Mareth Line decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Blue Cup stepped up to the mic, saying 'That wasn't fun.'.
