Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Kraulthammer (ranked 1345 p4p, 2237 weight class) and Robert Chaos (ranked 183 p4p, 304 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lars Kraulthammer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lars Kraulthammer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lars Kraulthammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Chaos ! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kraulthammer misses with a wild combination.
Robert Chaos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chaos throws a looping overhand right but Kraulthammer ducks down to avoid it. Kraulthammer moves into range and clinches up with Chaos . Chaos tries to pull guard but Kraulthammer forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Chaos tries to pull guard but Kraulthammer won't allow it.
Kraulthammer tightens his grip and picks Chaos up, before dumping him to the ground. Chaos manages to land in guard. Kraulthammer lands a couple of elbows. Kraulthammer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kraulthammer wants to control from the top but Chaos keeps moving. Chaos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kraulthammer throwing strikes but missing. Kraulthammer postures up in Chaos 's guard and throws a big left but Chaos blocks it. Kraulthammer is looking to work some ground and pound but Chaos has wrist control. Kraulthammer trying to control but Chaos is working from the bottom. Chaos is looking to stand up but Kraulthammer isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kraulthammer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kraulthammer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Chaos . Chaos circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kraulthammer moves into the clinch. Kraulthammer jumps into guard, dragging Chaos to the mat.
Chaos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kraulthammer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kraulthammer is adopting a defensive guard. Chaos trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kraulthammer manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kraulthammer postures up and lands a big shot to Chaos 's brow. Kraulthammer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chaos is controlling Kraulthammer's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kraulthammer postures up in Chaos 's guard and throws a big left but Chaos blocks it. Kraulthammer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kraulthammer wants to control from the top but Chaos keeps moving. Chaos controlling the position. Kraulthammer stays in close to Chaos 's body and controls the position. Chaos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kraulthammer. Chaos wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kraulthammer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chaos keeping full guard, as Kraulthammer tries to pass. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kraulthammer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chaos . Lars Kraulthammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Chaos . Kraulthammer gets a takedown into half guard. Chaos tries to kick Kraulthammer off in order to stand up. Kraulthammer Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kraulthammer misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kraulthammer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chaos sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

He's hooked one of Chaos 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chaos 's back! Kraulthammer looking for the choke from the back. Kraulthammer is really dominating this fight. Kraulthammer looking to break Chaos 's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Chaos remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kraulthammer will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Kraulthammer is persistently looking for the submission but Chaos is defending it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaos trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Kraulthammer struggling to land strikes to the head as Chaos covers up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chaos wants to get back to his feet. Chaos trying to control the hands but Kraulthammer won't let him. Kraulthammer is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Chaos has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Chaos looking very determined here, making life difficult for Kraulthammer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kraulthammer wants to control but Chaos manages to buck him off and is now in Kraulthammer's guard! Nice work there by Chaos ! Kraulthammer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kraulthammer throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Kraulthammer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chaos controls the pace.

Kraulthammer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chaos working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Kraulthammer throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Chaos escapes and throws Kraulthammer's legs to the side, diving into side control! Chaos trying to control the action but Kraulthammer is working from the bottom. Kraulthammer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chaos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. You can see the frustration on Kraulthammer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Chaos stands up. Kraulthammer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chaos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Chaos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kraulthammer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Chaos drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kraulthammer works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Chaos has his hands on Kraulthammer's head, controlling the position. Chaos is trying to hold Kraulthammer in close to prevent damage but Kraulthammer has managed to pass into half guard.

Lars Kraulthammer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kraulthammer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chaos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kraulthammer, into his guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kraulthammer being controlled here, momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lars Kraulthammer. Well Kraulthammer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
