Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darken Stormy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magomed Mhiaolov!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mhiaolov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stormy pinned against the cage. Stormy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mhiaolov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Stormy is pressed up against the cage. Mhiaolov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stormy down to the mat. Stormy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Stormy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stormy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Good exchange - Stormy coming out on top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mhiaolov clinches up with Stormy and pushes him back against the cage.
Stormy tries to break free but Mhiaolov pushes him back against the cage.
Stormy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Stormy lands a right hand.
Mhiaolov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stormy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Mhiaolov is riding his opponent, not letting Stormy buck him off.
Stormy is trying to stand back up.
Mhiaolov controls the position.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA St Petersburg inform us that Mhiaolov has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Mhiaolov is persistently looking for the submission but Stormy is defending it well.

Can Stormy hold on?! Mhiaolov is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Mhiaolov wants to control but Stormy is keeping busy.
Stormy is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
