Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lew Rockwell (ranked 1622 p4p, 2746 weight class) and Jack Steel (ranked 183 p4p, 305 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lew Rockwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Steel! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Jack Steel has been cut. Steel scores with a hook. A nice leg kick from Steel, right into the meat of the thigh.
Rockwell sizes up Steel with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Steel swats away the attempt to clinch by Rockwell. Steel swats away the attempt to clinch by Rockwell. Steel now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Rockwell throws a right hand that Steel ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel also avoids with ease. Rockwell drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Steel has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Steel leaves Rockwell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Steel throws a big counter head kick but Rockwell avoids it with no problem. Steel scores with a punch to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rockwell tries to close the distance and clinch but Steel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Steel stuffs the takedown attempt from Rockwell. Rockwell gets slowly back to his feet. A jab from Rockwell misses. Rockwell looking to score a takedown here. Steel is defending well but Rockwell drives through and ends up in Steel's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Steel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Steel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rockwell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Steel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rockwell throwing strikes but missing. Steel has momentary wrist control but Rockwell slips an elbow through the middle. Rockwell throws a big elbow that misses. Rockwell throws a big right hand that misses. Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel wants to stand up but Rockwell is controlling him.

Steel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Steel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rockwell missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Steel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rockwell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steel is pulling down on Rockwell's head. It's preventing any offense from Rockwell, at least for the moment. Rockwell working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That has opened up Jack Steel's cut even more. Rockwell won't allow Steel to get back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rockwell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rockwell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Steel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rockwell is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockwell trying to control but Steel is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel pushes Rockwell off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Steel throws a head kick that Rockwell semi-blocks.
Jack Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rockwell throws a combination that misses and Steel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Rockwell misses with a shot to the body and Rockwell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rockwell scores with a hook.
Jack Steel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rockwell moves into range and clinches up with Steel. Rockwell jumps into guard, dragging Steel to the mat.

I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Steel slaps away a takedown attempt from Rockwell, before circling back to the center of the mat. Steel throws a fast counter high kick but Rockwell manages to duck under it in time. Rockwell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steel avoids it really well and circles away. Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lew Rockwell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rockwell tries to clinch and Steel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rockwell scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Steel lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. and Steel counters with a left to the body. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Steel. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Rockwell throws a leg kick that is checked and Steel counters with an outside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Steel lands with an overhand left. Steel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A low kick from Rockwell misses enabling Steel to counter with a crisp jab. Rockwell with a lazy takedown attempt and Steel counters with an inside leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jack Steel seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd cheers as Steel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rockwell doesn't seem phased though. Rockwell scores with a jab. Rockwell misses with a body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Rockwell throws a lazy right hand but Steel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Steel! But no joy. Steel scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Steel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rockwell. Rockwell throws an off balance right hand
and Steel counters with a solid body kick. Rockwell has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Steel. Steel moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A low kick from Rockwell is predictable there and Steel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. and Steel counters with a stiff right hand. Steel scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Steel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rockwell. Rockwell walks into a stiff left hand from Steel. Rockwell with a lazy takedown attempt and Steel counters with a straight right hand. Rockwell has his takedown stuffed and Steel counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rockwell misses the body punch and Steel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Steel scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rockwell in his tracks. Rockwell doesn't succeed with the takedown and Steel counters with a nice body shot. Steel throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rockwell. Steel delivers a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel is looking to slow Rockwell down with leg kicks. Rockwell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steel counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. A nice leg kick lands there from Steel. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Steel - that will leave a mark!

and Steel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rockwell misses with a takedown and Steel counters with a straight right hand. Rockwell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steel feints and then cracks Rockwell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rockwell down. Rockwell swings widly with a right hand
and Steel counters with a nice uppercut. That kick from Steel tenderised Rockwell's leg. Rockwell is trying to keep his angry face on. Steel lands a front kick. Steel lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rockwell takes a step back to recover. Rockwell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Steel can pounce on him.
Rockwell closes the distance and clinches. Rockwell will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Steel. Steel lands with a left to the head. Rockwell blocks a body shot from Steel. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rockwell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steel walks away with a smile on his face. Rockwell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Steel scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Steel thumps Rockwell with a low kick. and Steel counters with a three punch combo that has Rockwell backing up. Rockwell nods at Steel to acknowledge the strikes. Rockwell looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Steel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Steel moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rockwell wants to clinch but Steel slips to the side enabling Steel to counter with a crisp jab. Steel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rockwell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rockwell loads up on a big right hand but Steel slips the punch. Steel blocks a leg kick. Rockwell tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily and Steel counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rockwell throws a poor cross that misses

Rockwell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Steel lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lew Rockwell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Decent striking displayed by Steel there. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rockwell tries to clinch up. Rockwell pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jack Steel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Steel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rockwell's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Steel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Steel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
