Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodriguo Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Silva gets caught napping as Ferreira dives in and scores a takedown. Silva manages to retain guard.

Ferreira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferreira gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ferreira stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ferreira!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Ferreira decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.

Ferreira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Silva on his heels. He'll look to pass Silva's guard now, I'm sure.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ferreira throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ferreira is in Silva's guard.

Silva is trying to hold Ferreira in close to prevent damage but Ferreira has managed to pass into half guard.

Thiago Ferreira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Silva feints and as Ferreira raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ferreira lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Ferreira not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Ferreira has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ferreira is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Ferreira to sleep! This one is all over!

After the fight, Rodriguo Silva was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
