Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Sight (ranked 1436 p4p, 1423 weight class) and Ricardo Rebenta (ranked 184 p4p, 50 weight class). Paul Sight has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Sight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Rebenta!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rebenta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sight throws out the jab.

We've been hearing good reports from Sight's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Sight wants to get back to his feet but Rebenta is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rebenta is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Rebenta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sight is just riding it out for now. Rebenta eventually gives up the hold.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rebenta working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Still in half guard, Rebenta seems content to control.
Sight knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rebenta on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sight wants to stand back up but Rebenta manages to pass into side control.

Rebenta is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sight is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sight is not content to let Rebenta control the position.

Rebenta tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rebenta has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sight is trying to get back to his feet.

Rebenta in side control lands a decent elbow.

Rebenta thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Sight is pushing Rebenta's head away, looking to escape. Rebenta manages to hold on to the position though.
Sight is not content to let Rebenta control the position.
Rebenta is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Sight is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

A big left from Sight misses.

Rebenta shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sight manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Sight is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rebenta dives into side control.

Rebenta cracks Sight with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Rebenta immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Sight is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Rebenta!
