Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vsevolod Vorobyov (ranked 2853 p4p, 7017 weight class) and Daniel Spong (ranked 312 p4p, 539 weight class). The key to victory for Vsevolod Vorobyov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vsevolod Vorobyov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Spong! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vorobyov cracks a nice hook into Spong's ribs. Spong throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Vorobyov misses with a leg kick and Spong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spong throws a big right hand that misses. Spong throws a big elbow that misses. Spong trying to control but Vorobyov is working from the bottom. Spong postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Spong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vorobyov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Spong throwing strikes from guard but Vorobyov blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vorobyov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Vorobyov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spong throwing strikes but missing. Spong stops Vorobyov from standing up. Spong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vorobyov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Spong looking to pass the guard. Spong advances position into side control! Spong lands a nice forearm strike. Spong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Spong in side control lands a decent elbow. Spong throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Spong tries to score with some ground and pound. Vorobyov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spong working the ground and pound from side control. Vorobyov regains half guard there - taking advantage of Spong's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Spong throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vorobyov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Spong scores with a couple of nice shots. Vorobyov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Vorobyov is staying active underneath Spong, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Vorobyov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Spong. Spong trying to control the action but Vorobyov is working from the bottom. Spong thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Spong is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Vorobyov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
