PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rantan Plan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Tunstall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tunstall bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Plan is looking to regain half guard here but Tunstall keeps moving and retains side control.
Plan gets back to half guard.
Tunstall not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Plan looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Plan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Plan is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Tunstall pulls his head out easily.
Tunstall missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Tunstall tries to pass to full mount but Plan defends it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tunstall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Plan as he jumps to the side.

and Tunstall holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Plan regains full guard. Nicely done.

Plan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tunstall is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Plan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tunstall's back instead.
Tunstall tries to escape but Plan has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Plan doesn't have the hooks in and Tunstall manages to turn into his guard.
Tunstall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tunstall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tunstall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Plan is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tunstall rolls with it to try and escape but Plan cranks on the arm and Tunstall is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
