Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dyami Yazzie (ranked 1609 p4p, 1475 weight class) and Boxing Mcsparr (ranked 233 p4p, 216 weight class). Yazzie's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, A Tribe Called Red - Suplex. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mcsparr's choice of entrance music: AC/DC - Hell's Bells. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dyami Yazzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boxing Mcsparr!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yazzie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Dyami Yazzie has been cut.
Yazzie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mcsparr.
Yazzie throws a jab but it's blocked by Mcsparr.
A countering left hand to the body from Mcsparr misses.
We've been informed that Mcsparr has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Mcsparr thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Yazzie was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mcsparr.
Yazzie scores with a hook to the body. Mcsparr takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mcsparr fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Yazzie is out of range.
Yazzie throws a nice outside leg kick.
Mcsparr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mcsparr lands a nice shot that snaps Yazzie's head back.
Mcsparr scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Yazzie gets a double leg takedown into Mcsparr's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcsparr is on top in guard.

Mcsparr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Yazzie has his foot on Mcsparr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mcsparr works his way back into a safe position though.
Yazzie wants to sweep here but Mcsparr controlling him for the moment.

Mcsparr pushes down on Yazzie's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Mcsparr is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Yazzie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcsparr pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Yazzie is trying to get back to full guard.
Mcsparr is controlling the pace.
Mcsparr trying to control from Yazzie's half guard. Yazzie has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Yazzie tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Yazzie is looking for a triangle but Mcsparr pushes his legs off easily.
Mcsparr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Yazzie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mcsparr's best efforts.
Yazzie wants to get back to full guard.

Let's hope that Mcsparr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Yazzie is wriggling around trying to escape.

Yazzie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Yazzie tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcsparr is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yazzie advances to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dyami Yazzie will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Mcsparr counters with a stiff right hand.
Mcsparr misses with a body shot.
Mcsparr works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mcsparr tries to land a body kick
and Yazzie counters with an inside leg kick.
Mcsparr jabs Yazzie to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mcsparr is looking to chop away at Yazzie's legs.
Boxing Mcsparr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mcsparr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mcsparr rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yazzie counters with a good, hard body kick but Mcsparr shrugs it off.
Yazzie seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Yazzie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mcsparr.
Yazzie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcsparr is fending him off so far but Yazzie persists. Nope, Mcsparr circles away and we're back to standing.
Mcsparr now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mcsparr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yazzie.
Boxing Mcsparr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcsparr on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mcsparr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yazzie.
Yazzie tries to counter with a takedown but Mcsparr is quick to defend against it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yazzie throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mcsparr.
Mcsparr let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Mcsparr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mcsparr lands a jab to Yazzie's midsection.

Yazzie looking to score a takedown here. Mcsparr is defending well but Yazzie drives through and ends up in Mcsparr's guard.
Mcsparr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Yazzie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcsparr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yazzie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Yazzie trying to mount his opponent but Mcsparr defends it.
Yazzie works his foot free and advances to mount.
Yazzie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Yazzie thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yazzie fails to take his opponent's back.
Mcsparr can't escape the position.
Yazzie throwing strikes but Mcsparr recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Yazzie is pressing down on Mcsparr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mcsparr is holding on for now.
Mcsparr wants to get back to full guard.
Yazzie works his way into full mount!
Yazzie throwing strikes here but Mcsparr is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Yazzie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mcsparr has worked his arm free - good work by Mcsparr!
Yazzie tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Mcsparr gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Mcsparr tries to lock up and control but Yazzie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Yazzie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mcsparr is on top in guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mcsparr tries to clinch up.
Yazzie throws a leg kick that misses.
Yazzie scores with a body shot.
Yazzie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mcsparr has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Yazzie misses with a kick to the body
and Mcsparr counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Yazzie throws a low kick, looking for Mcsparr's leg but Mcsparr calmly moves out of range.
Mcsparr appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Yazzie darts in looking for a takedown but Mcsparr gets double underhooks and turns Yazzie into the cage.
Mcsparr lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Yazzie scores with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mcsparr.
Mcsparr misses with some punches.
Yazzie tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mcsparr's elbow.
Yazzie jumps guard but Mcsparr stands there with Yazzie around his waist. Yazzie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A short uppercut from Mcsparr.

Yazzie misses with some punches.
Yazzie blocking some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mcsparr.
Yazzie swings wildly with an uppercut but Mcsparr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mcsparr scores with a shot to the side of Yazzie's head.
Yazzie tries to pull guard but Mcsparr forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dyami Yazzie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mcsparr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mcsparr fakes the leg kick and cracks Yazzie in the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mcsparr lands a big head kick that sends Yazzie tumbling to the mat! Mcsparr takes a step backwards and waves Yazzie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Yazzie is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcsparr is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Yazzie hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Boxing Mcsparr!
Boxing Mcsparr spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
