Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rj Bell (ranked 4126 p4p, 6302 weight class) and No Name (ranked 444 p4p, 575 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rj Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, No Name!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Name looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Some wild striking there from Name.
Bell misses with a double jab.
Name jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Name closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bell is looking to reverse the position.

Name tries for a kimura but Bell is defending well.

Name looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bell is trying to improve his position.

Name is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bell is looking for a sweep.
Name wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bell keeps working.
Bell gets back to half guard.
Bell trying to control but Name postures up.

Bell is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Name's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Name's back!
Bell lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Name hold on?!
Name rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Name blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bell.
Bell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Name is looking to control Bell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Name avoid being mounted?
Name keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Name tries to get to full guard but Bell has control of the leg.

That was a close round but I would say that Rj Bell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Bell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Name sprawls well. Name wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bell gets slowly back to his feet.
Bell misses with a double jab.

Name scores with a takedown into Bell's guard.

Bell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Name can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Name is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bell has escaped and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bell wants to control from the top but Name keeps moving.
Bell tries to free his leg and advance position but Name is retaining full guard.
Bell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Name looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bell is one step ahead there.
Bell trying to control but Name is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Name has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bell has managed to get both his arms back between Name's legs - danger averted.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Name is looking for a triangle but Bell pushes his legs off easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rj Bell will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Name checks a leg kick.
Bell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Name.
Name shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bell sprawls well. Bell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Name gets slowly back to his feet.
Bell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bell throws an overhand right that lands on Name's shoulder, as Name tries to avoid the shot.
Nice sprawl there from Bell as Name shoots in.

Bell lands a glancing blow to the side of Name's head.

No Name seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Name throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bell counters by moving into the clinch.

Bell has hold of one of Name's legs. Name is fighting the takedown attempt but Bell gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Name is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Name is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bell trying to control but Name is working from the bottom.

Name looking for a guillotine here but Bell defends easily.
Bell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Name controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.
Name wants to sweep but no luck.

Bell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Name is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bell, into his guard.

Bell is trying to control the position but Name postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Name defends it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rj Bell clearly takes that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Name fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bell to the ground. Name is now in Bell's guard.
Name stops Bell from standing up.
Name must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bell keeping moving, preventing Name from controlling successfully.
Bell trying to keep a closed guard but Name is proving a slippery customer.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bell holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bell is not content to let Name control the position.
Name perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bell pushes Name off looking to stand but Name dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Name.
Bell throws a body shot but no joy.
Name misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Name tries for a takedown but Bell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Name manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bell on his heels. He'll look to pass Bell's guard now, I'm sure.

No Name dominated that fourth round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Name shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bell as he jumps to the side.
Bell changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Name shoots and misses

and Bell moves into the clinch.

Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rj Bell is winning the standup battle so far.
Bell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Name.
Name tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bell swivels and escapes.
Rj Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of No Name.
Bell pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Name is looking to clinch but Bell is avoiding it.

Bell clinches up with Name and pushes him back against the cage.
Bell tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Name's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Name can't get the takedown.
Name gets underhooks to prevent Bell's takedown attempt.
Name wants a takedown.
Bell is working for takedown but Name is calmly controlling the position for now.

Name is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?
Name has Bell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Name changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bell fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bell misses with a straight left.
Bell misses with a two punch combination.
Bell slips a jab and a cross from Name.
Bell changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
A combination from Bell does no damage.
Bell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Name circles away.
Name tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Name somewhat.
Bell throws a jab when Name was well out of range.
Name throws a nice looking combination but Bell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Bell counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bell.
Bell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Name's head.
Bell wants to control from the top but Name keeps moving.

Name looking for a guillotine here but Bell defends easily.
Bell working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Name being controlled here, momentarily.
No Name has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bell in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Well Bell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
