Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Dio (ranked 4318 p4p, 3379 weight class) and Ty Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ty Moon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Moon!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon's corner calls for a 1-2. Moon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Ronnie Dio has been cut.
Dio shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dio wants to control from the top but Moon keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dio postures up in Moon's guard and throws a big left but Moon blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dio trying to control but Moon is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Moon throws a jab but it's blocked by Dio.
It looked like Dio wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Moon misses with a looping right.

Moon looks to throw the jab but Dio is out of range.

Dio shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moon's guard.

Moon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dio is controlling him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dio lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Well, if Dio is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Dio has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Moon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dio throws a body punch but Moon moves out of range.
Dio uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Moon.
Moon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dio.
Dio moves out of range as Moon strikes.
Moon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dio clinches.
Moon swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Dio is working for takedown but Moon is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dio tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dio wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie Dio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dio is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Moon lands a shoulder strike.
Dio blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ty Moon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ronnie Dio's cut.
That's time! Dio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dio doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Moon lands with a cross.
Dio gets a takedown into half guard.
Moon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dio looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Moon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Moon is not content to let Dio control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dio walks into a jab.
Dio shoots in for a takedown but Moon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Moon swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nice defenses there by Dio.
Moon throws the left hand but Dio avoids the punch easily.
Ty Moon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Moon throws a lazy right hand but Dio sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Moon scores with a jab. Dio acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ronnie Dio's cut is getting worse.
Moon throws a hook but Dio blocks it.
It looked like Dio wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Moon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Moon cracks Dio with a hook to the temple - Dio is on wobbly legs here! Moon swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Dio falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Moon wins by TKO!
