Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Jalbert (ranked 748 p4p, 1873 weight class) and Robert Dixon (ranked 98 p4p, 243 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc Jalbert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Dixon! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon lands with a straight right. Jalbert didn't see that one coming. Jalbert blocks a jab. Jalbert takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Dixon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jalbert.
Jalbert throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dixon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jalbert sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dixon throws a body shot but no joy. Jalbert walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jalbert tries to bum rush Dixon with a series of wild strikes but Dixon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jalbert lands a nice hook to Dixon's body. Dixon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Dixon ducks under a wild hook from Jalbert. Dixon moves away from the strike by Jalbert. Jalbert misses with an uppercut. Dixon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Jalbert misses with the combination.
Dixon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jalbert throws a hook to the side of Dixon's head but Dixon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Dixon cracks Jalbert with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jalbert rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Dixon to counter with a crisp jab. Jalbert lands with a cross. Jalbert sizes up Dixon with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Jalbert thuds his right hand into Dixon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jalbert looks to throw the jab but Dixon is out of range. Dixon appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Jalbert lands a left and a right that send Dixon crashing to the mat, dazed. Jalbert thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Dixon is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jalbert throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dixon is still on wobbly legs! Can Jalbert finish him? Dixon has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Jalbert lands with a nice body punch. Jalbert cracks Dixon with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Dixon falls to his knees and Jalbert doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Luc Jalbert! Jean Luc Jalbert gave a mention to Brooklyn Apothecary in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
