The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Oka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Herandio works Oka's body with a nice hook.
Herandio scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Herandio wants to stand and escape but Oka is having none of it.
Oka controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Herandio is bucking up trying to escape but Oka cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oka won't let Herandio get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

You get the feeling that Herandio really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Oka is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Herandio has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Oka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oka can do anything to dispel that myth.
Oka seems keen to control Herandio's posture.
Let's hope that Oka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Herandio throws a nice looking combination but Oka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
