PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Colton Cabana (ranked 3992 p4p, 6017 weight class) and Danny Pearce (ranked 423 p4p, 536 weight class). Cabana comes to the cage accompanied by Prospect. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearce takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Cabana takes the fight into the clinch.
Pearce is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cabana is keeping busy.
Pearce is trying to force a seperation but Cabana has the dominant position.
Cabana tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pearce smiles and moves away.

Cabana moves into the clinch.
Cabana tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pearce tries to land a knee to the head but Cabana blocks with his arms.

Cabana gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Pearce has one foot on Cabana 's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pearce thows a leg kick but Cabana checks it

and Cabana counters with a single leg into guard. Pearce didn't expect that.

Pearce wants to improve his position but Cabana is controlling well.
Pearce is trying to control but can't.

Cabana has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cabana is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pearce sees it coming and defends easily.

Cabana is looking for a kimura here.
Pearce wants to improve his position but Cabana is controlling well.

Pearce is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cabana pulls his head out easily.
Pearce pushes Cabana off looking to stand but Cabana dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pearce is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Cabana has latched onto it... Big trouble! Cabana pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Pearce is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Cabana !
