Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chief Bear (ranked 4443 p4p, 2992 weight class) and Pak Mei (ranked 169 p4p, 122 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pak Mei!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mei drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bear is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mei defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mei wants to control from the top but Bear keeps moving.
Mei landing with the ground and pound.
Bear working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mei doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mei manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mei has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mei lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bear is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Mei frees his head nicely. Oh but Bear has switched to an armbar! Mei is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
