Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Decker (ranked 2702 p4p, 1648 weight class) and Dom Walsh (ranked 355 p4p, 233 weight class). Walsh is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Machine Head. Dom Walsh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Decker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dom Walsh!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walsh looks to clinch

and Decker counters with a single leg into guard. Walsh didn't expect that.

Walsh has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Decker has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Walsh jumps guard but Decker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Decker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Decker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dom Walsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Decker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Walsh tries to close the distance and clinch but Decker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Walsh lands a glancing blow to the side of Decker's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walsh shoots in but Decker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Decker.
Walsh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Decker looks to land a combination. Walsh sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Decker keeps the fight on the outside.
Decker shoots for a double leg takedown but Walsh sprawls well. He's pushed Decker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walsh lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Walsh tries to clinch up but Decker circles away and keeps his distance.
Decker lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Walsh moves into range and clinches up with Decker.

so Walsh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Walsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Decker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walsh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Decker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walsh on the ground.
Walsh with the ground and pound but Decker uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Walsh postures up and lands a big shot to Decker's brow.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Walsh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Decker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Walsh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Walsh wants to control from the top but Decker keeps moving.

Walsh sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Decker defending well though.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Decker shoots in looking for a takedown. Walsh tries to sprawl out of it but Decker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walsh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Decker is trying to break the clinch but Walsh has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters circling - Decker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Walsh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Decker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Walsh gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Decker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Walsh regains full guard. Nicely done.
Decker stands and throws Walsh's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Decker's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Dom Walsh.
