Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Andrade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Lopes!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopes closes the distance and clinches.

Lopes jumps guard and drags Andrade to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Lopes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Andrade drops back looking for a leg! Lopes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lopes manages to kick Andrade off! Andrade jumps back into Lopes's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lopes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andrade slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lopes struggling a bit here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Andrade throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Andrade working away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Andrade shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Lopes tries to lock up and control but Andrade gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Andrade has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Andrade is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Andrade!
