The crowd seem to be enjoying McCockiner's choice of entrance music: Farewell to Cheyenn. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Steve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barry McCockiner!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve misses with a hook
and McCockiner counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Steve has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Kevin Spacey`s Basement of Doom in the buildup to the fight.
Steve chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McCockiner can pounce on him.
McCockiner lands a jab.
Steve staying out of range there.
Steve is looking to counter the offense by McCockiner and move into the clinch.
Steve misses with a kick to the body
and McCockiner counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Chris Steve has been cut.
Steve lands a right hook to the body.
Steve on the wrong end of a nice hook.
McCockiner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCockiner shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Barry McCockiner has been cut.
McCockiner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Some bone on bone action there as Steve checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Steve lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Steve tries to clinch there but McCockiner circles away.
McCockiner wants to slow Steve down by chopping away at his legs.
McCockiner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Steve listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Steve is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McCockiner swats away the attempt to clinch by Steve.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steve scores with a punch to the head.

Steve fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCockiner, pushing him back against the cage.
McCockiner using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Steve has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Steve creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
McCockiner throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Steve blocks it with crossed arms.
McCockiner misses with a knee strike.
McCockiner with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Steve lands an elbow just above McCockiner 's eye.

That has opened up Barry McCockiner's cut even more.
McCockiner swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A short uppercut from Steve.

McCockiner is rocked!
A shot in the inside from Steve.
McCockiner is still on wobbly legs! Can Steve finish him?
Steve lands a damaging elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCockiner tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Steve throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
McCockiner looks winded!
Steve pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns McCockiner! Steve unloads with more strikes and McCockiner sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Steve!
Chris Steve decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
