Schlaub displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrov throws out the jab.

Schlaub feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Petrov sprawling to the canvas! Petrov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Schlaub finish him?!

It looks like Fedor Petrov has been cut.

Schlaub cracks Petrov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Schlaub has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Petrov to stand back up!

Petrov drops his hands momentarily. Schlaub doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Petrov staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Petrov doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Brendan Schlaub spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
