Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sal Seville (ranked 2817 p4p, 4430 weight class) and Ryan Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 511 weight class). Sal Seville could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryan Hall's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sal Seville! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Hall! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seville slips a jab and a cross from Hall.
A little feinted left hand from Seville on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hall lands with a slapping head kick. Hall closes the distance looking to clinch and Seville cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hall misses with a double jab.
Seville ducks under a wild hook from Hall. Seville with a poor takedown and Hall counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Seville throws a hook but Hall blocks it. Hall throws a sloppy head kick and Seville moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall lands with a slapping head kick. Seville with a lazy takedown attempt and Hall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hall rushes Seville and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A short right hand to the side of the head by Hall. Hall manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seville tries for a takedown but Hall sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sal Seville. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hall clinches with his opponent.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hall. Hall shoots in but no luck this time. Seville throws a sloppy head kick and Hall moves out of range easily. Seville scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hall has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Seville is on him like a limpet, forcing Hall back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hall lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Seville fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hall's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall lands a nice uppercut. Seville jumps into guard, dragging Hall to the mat.
Hall wants to pass the guard but Seville is keeping the position. Seville looking to control.
Hall content to stall in guard here. Hall stands up and waves to Seville to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall shoots for a double leg takedown but Seville sprawls well. He's pushed Hall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Seville clinches. Seville stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Seville wants to get back to striking at distance but Hall won't allow it.
Seville slowing the pace effectively. Hall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Seville takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Seville leaves Hall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Seville swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Hall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Seville counters with a straight right hand. Hall looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Seville is defended easily by Hall. Seville darts in looking for a takedown but Hall gets double underhooks and turns Seville into the cage. Hall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Seville pulls him back up using the underhooks. Seville tries to pull guard but Hall holds him up against the cage and eventually Seville drops back down to his feet.
Seville drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hall pulls his leg out and moves away.
Seville clinches up against the cage. Seville gets a trip takedown into half guard. Hall makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Hall dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Seville shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Seville keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Seville avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Seville is looking to clinch. Seville works the jab nicely. Seville shoots in and gets a takedown into Hall's guard. Hall has his foot on Seville's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Seville works his way back into a safe position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall is trying to keep Seville in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall has Seville pulled in close to control his posture. Seville wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Seville manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Seville preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ryan Hall has got the better of the ground game so far. Hall throwing strikes but missing. Hall tries to free his leg and advance position but Seville is retaining full guard. Seville not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seville pinned against the cage. Seville gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to close the distance and clinch but Seville swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Seville swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Hall shoots for a takedown but Seville saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hall takes one on the button. Hall is breathing heavily. Hall misses with a takedown attempt and Hall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sal Seville has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Hall. Hall showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Seville.

He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Seville pulls guard. Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Seville is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Seville controls Hall momentarily but Hall frees himself. Hall has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seville tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hall is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sal Seville will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Seville can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hall is pulling down on Seville's head to control his posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Hall throws a body punch but Seville moves out of range. Seville scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Seville taking a breather here. Seville has hold of Hall's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hall tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Seville cranks the arm and Hall screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hall, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
