Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Joe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joe's waist but Joe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rogan off to one side.
Joe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rogan wants to clinch.

Joe rushes Rogan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Rogan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Come on Rogan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Joe breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rogan defends it easily.

and Rogan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rogan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Joe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rogan.

Joe looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rogan has picked Joe up and slammed him! Joe can't keep hold of the triangle and Rogan manages to pass to side control!
Joe manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Rogan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Joe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Rogan wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.
Rogan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Joe has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Rogan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Joe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joe scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Rogan is trying to push Joe away but Joe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Rogan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Rogan looks to score with a jab to the body but Joe is just out of range.
Rogan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Joe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Joe shoots in and drives through. Rogan sprawls well.
It looked like Rogan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Bobby Joe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Rogan regains half guard there - taking advantage of Joe's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Well Joe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
