Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miles O Brien (ranked 3620 p4p, 6231 weight class) and Ichiro Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 565 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shimizu closes this distance looking for a takedown but O Brien circles away.

Shimizu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling O Brien to score with a decent uppercut.

Shimizu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as O Brien sprawls well. O Brien wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shimizu gets slowly back to his feet.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Shimizu might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, O Brien has got the better of the exchanges.
