Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teuvo Loman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risto Ruskea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loman's entrance music is Teuvo Loman - Helsinki City Boy. A fine choice. Ruskea has chosen SMC Hoodrats as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Teuvo Loman had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teuvo Loman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Ruskea!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruskea tries to avoid it but Loman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruskea to the ground. Ruskea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ruskea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ruskea shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Loman's guard.

and Ruskea counters with a good, hard body kick but Loman shrugs it off.

Ruskea bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ruskea tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruskea has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Loman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ruskea can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Loman had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ruskea is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Loman Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ruskea's back instead.
I really don't envy Ruskea right now.

Ruskea must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Risto Ruskea showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ruskea is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Loman has latched onto it... Big trouble! Loman pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Ruskea is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Loman!
