The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Hughes.

Hughes looks to score with a jab to the body but Kneereaper is just out of range.

Nice uppercut lands for Hughes. That snapped Kneereaper's head back.

We've been hearing reports that Hughes has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hughes has a couple of punches blocked by Kneereaper.

Kneereaper has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hughes uses from the top position.

Kneereaper throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hughes escapes and throws Kneereaper's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hughes is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Kneereaper is looking for the choke from the back position but Hughes is controlling his hands well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hughes is having to fend off submission attempts from Kneereaper, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kneereaper doesn't have the hooks in though and Hughes manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Kneereaper has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hughes doesn't defend quickly enough and Kneereaper has managed to lock this one up! Can Hughes escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kneereaper on a fantastic submission victory.
