Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wojciech Mikolajczyk (ranked 1437 p4p, 1869 weight class) and Yelch Switzer (ranked 78 p4p, 100 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wojciech Mikolajczyk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yelch Switzer!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikolajczyk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Switzer defends it nicely.
Jab from Switzer.
Mikolajczyk bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Switzer throws the left hand but Mikolajczyk avoids the punch easily.
Switzer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Mikolajczyk gets a takedown into half guard.
Mikolajczyk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mikolajczyk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Switzer sees it coming and defends easily.
Switzer is trying to stand.
Mikolajczyk sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Mikolajczyk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mikolajczyk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Switzer defends it well.
Mikolajczyk is taking a breather. Switzer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mikolajczyk wants to pass the guard but Switzer is defending well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Mikolajczyk trying to control the action but Switzer is working from the bottom.
Mikolajczyk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mikolajczyk not doing much here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mikolajczyk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Switzer tries to improve position but can't.
Switzer is trying to escape the position but Mikolajczyk is controlling the position.
Switzer is trying to buck Mikolajczyk off.
Mikolajczyk controls the position from side control.
Mikolajczyk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mikolajczyk is looking to take a break and control but Switzer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Switzer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mikolajczyk slows the pace down.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mikolajczyk fails with the takedown.
Switzer throws a jab when Mikolajczyk was well out of range.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wojciech Mikolajczyk will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Mikolajczyk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Mikolajczyk fails with the takedown.
Switzer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Switzer throws out a counter right but Mikolajczyk avoids it with no problem.
Donk. Switzer catches Mikolajczyk right on the button with a cross.
Mikolajczyk tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Switzer defends well and Mikolajczyk ends up having to push Switzer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wojciech Mikolajczyk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Switzer stops a takedown attempt from Mikolajczyk.
Switzer gets through Mikolajczyk's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Switzer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We've been informed that Switzer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Switzer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Switzer lands a body punch in the clinch.
Switzer lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Mikolajczyk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Switzer scores with a hook to the body.
Switzer is leaning against Mikolajczyk and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Switzer stops a takedown attempt from Mikolajczyk.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Switzer lands an uppercut.
Switzer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mikolajczyks head.
A right hook to the body lands for Switzer.
Switzer gets through Mikolajczyk's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Switzer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Switzer presses Mikolajczyk against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Switzer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Switzer lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Mikolajczyk is rocked!
Switzer lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Oh Mikolajczyk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Switzer lands a hook to the side of the head.

Switzer lands a hook to the side of the head.
Switzer softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Mikolajczyk goes for a takedown attempt but Switzer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mikolajczyk has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mikolajczyk there as he acknowledges the shot.
A big left from Switzer misses.
Mikolajczyk seems to have got his legs back now.
Switzer tests Mikolajczyk's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Wojciech Mikolajczyk has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Switzer scores with a nice right hand.

Good standup being displayed there by Switzer as he connects with a hook.
Mikolajczyk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Switzer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mikolajczyk somewhat.
A decent looking cross lands there for Switzer.
Switzer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mikolajczyk takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Switzer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mikolajczyk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Switzer as he jumps to the side.
Switzer cracks Mikolajczyk with a right hand to the side of the head.

Switzer cracks Mikolajczyk with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Switzer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mikolajczyk to stand back up!
Yelch Switzer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mikolajczyk looks for a takedown but Switzer sprawls well.
Switzer pounces like a tiger and cracks Mikolajczyk with a vicious hook! Mikolajczyk is down but not out! Switzer follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Yelch Switzer!
