Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Fuentes (ranked 1824 p4p, 2065 weight class) and Kristof Pardi (ranked 201 p4p, 215 weight class). Pardi has chosen Party Boy Theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Fuentes!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kristof Pardi!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pardi throws an off balance right hand
and Fuentes counters with a straight right hand.
Fuentes closes the distance and pushes Pardi back into the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pardi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pardi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pardi tries to score a body lock takedown but Fuentes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Pardi doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Pardi as Fuentes tries to tie him up.
Pardi lands with a short shot to the head.
Pardi lands an uppercut.
Pardi misses with a body punch.
Pardi tries to score a body lock takedown but Fuentes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fuentes digs a right hand underneath Pardi's ribcage. Pardi let out a lung full of air as it connected.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pardi.
Pardi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fuentes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Fuentes misses with a hook from the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Fuentes fails to land.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Pardi blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pardi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pardi landing with the ground and pound.
Fuentes can't keep his opponent in guard - Pardi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pardi is looking for a kimura but Fuentes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pardi to get the leverage.
Pardi seems to be working for a kimura but Fuentes defends the submission attempt.
Fuentes is trying to get back to full guard.
Fuentes has hold of Pardi's hands but Pardi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pardi lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Fuentes quite badly. Fuentes pulls Pardi in close trying to recover. Pardi postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Fuentes on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Fuentes doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kristof Pardi!
