The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James goes for a double leg but Burns avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Burns continues to drive forward.
Burns scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Tyson James has been cut.
Burns is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James.
Good work by James as he checks the leg kick.
Burns throws an off balance right hand
and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Burns tries to push off, looking to stand up, but James manages to move to mount!
Burns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground.
Burns bucks James off and manages to get back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burns napping and manages to drive through into side control!
James wants to control but Burns is keeping him busy.
James misses with the ground and pound.
James tries for a kimura but Burns is defending well.
James is trying to get an arm triangle but Burns is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.

James tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
James is working to tighten his grip on Burns's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Burns has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but James is really squeezing tight and eventually Burns passes out! James breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Post fight, an emotional Tyson James said 'I'm not going to lie, if I lost tonight I was likely going to retire, but what's another fight? '.
