Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sultan Figueroa (ranked 774 p4p, 545 weight class) and Charlie Darwin (ranked 98 p4p, 65 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Figueroa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Horseshoe Gang -Top Ramen Nigga. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sultan Figueroa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charlie Darwin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa looks to land a right hand but Darwin moved out of range.
Darwin misses with a hook. Figueroa ducked under it nicely.
Darwin throws a big shot that misses.
Figueroa connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Figueroa tries to move into range but Darwin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Darwin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Sultan Figueroa has been cut.
Figueroa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Darwin connects with a nice looking jab.
Figueroa takes one on the button.
Figueroa moves out of range of the strikes.
Darwin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Figueroas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Figueroa is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Darwin lands a brutal uppercut that launches Figueroa off his feet! Figueroa tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charlie Darwin!
Charlie Darwin is the new lightweight champion!
After the fight, Charlie Darwin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
