Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Uniesky Santaban!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Santaban misses with a right hand

and Under The Sea counters with a series of strikes that sends Santaban to the canvas! Under The Sea follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Santaban is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Under The Sea slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Santaban is still in real trouble! Can Under The Sea finish him?
Under The Sea prevents Santaban from getting back to his feet.
Santaban keeping moving, preventing Under The Sea from controlling successfully.

Santaban wants to stand but Under The Sea is controlling the position.

Under The Sea passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santaban pushes Under The Sea away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Under The Sea gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
You can see the frustration on Santaban's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Under The Sea is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Santaban is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Under The Sea is looking to take a break and control but Santaban is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Santaban is pushing Under The Sea's head away, looking to escape. Under The Sea manages to hold on to the position though.

Under The Sea is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Santaban knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Under The Sea wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santaban keeps working.
Santaban has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Under The Sea is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Santaban makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Under The Sea uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Santaban.
Under The Sea drops down looking for a counter takedown but Santaban sprawls and moves away.

Santaban with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Santaban throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Under The Sea looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Santaban fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Under The Sea on the side of the head.
Santaban misses with a wild body shot.
Santaban is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Santaban pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Under The Sea went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Under The Sea doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Uniesky Santaban is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Under The Sea takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Santaban cracks Under The Sea on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Under The Sea falls backwards against the cage. Santaban follows up with more strikes that drop Under The Sea to his knees. Santaban keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Under The Sea! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Uniesky Santaban!
