Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Daaniel Teteny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Todd Wad!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teteny shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wad manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wad wriggles free and stands up.
Wad throws a head kick that Teteny semi-blocks.

It looks like Daaniel Teteny has been cut.
Wad stuffs the takedown.
Teteny shoots in and drives through. Wad sprawls well.
Wad lands a high kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wad moves into the clinch.
Teteny tries to score a body lock takedown but Wad shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Teteny has been working on his balance at Panda Fights Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Wad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daaniel Teteny. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wad cracks a nice hook into Teteny's ribs.

Wad pushes Teteny up against the cage in a clinch.
Wad misses with a knee to the head.

Wad breaks the clinch.
Wad throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Teteny's head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Teteny.

Wad instigates a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wad gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Teteny.

Wad pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Teteny stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wad.
Teteny has his takedown stuffed
and Wad counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Todd Wad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wad takes the fight into the clinch.
Wad is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Teteny wants a takedown but no success here.
Teteny is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wad gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Wad prevents the takedown attempt.

Wad's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wad closes the distance and pushes Teteny back into the cage.

Wad breaks from the clinch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Wad!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wad lands a big head kick that sends Teteny tumbling to the mat! Wad takes a step backwards and waves Teteny back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Teteny is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wad wobbles Teteny with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Wad dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Teteny to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Todd Wad!
