Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dany Crosby (ranked 3 p4p, 23 weight class) and Gaultier Girard (ranked 1 p4p, 3 weight class). Gaultier Girard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Girard shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Crosby appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Girard digs a good body shot into Crosby's ribs.
Crosby bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Girard's head backwards.
Crosby misses the jab.

and Crosby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Girard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Girard moves away from the strike by Crosby.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looked like Crosby wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Girard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

A looping hook to the body misses from Crosby. Girard does a little dance to reset his feet.

Girard stuns Crosby with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Girard throws a leg kick which misses Crosby's front leg but catches the back leg as Crosby tries to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Crosby counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Crosby closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Girard misses with a punch on the inside.
Girard lands an elbow just above Crosby 's eye.
Crosby throws a head punch that misses.

Girard can't find room to land a body shot as Crosby controls the action.
Girard tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Girard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crosby blocks a head kick by Girard.
That kick from Girard tenderised Crosby's leg. Crosby is trying to keep his angry face on.
Girard throws a big shot that misses.
Girard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Crosby swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Girard just misses with a punch to the body.
Crosby throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Girard throws a leg kick but Crosby checks it.

Girard wants to slow Crosby down by chopping away at his legs.

Crosby was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Crosby counters with a crisp right hand that drops Girard! Crosby lets Girard back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Gaultier Girard has been cut.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dany Crosby will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Crosby steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Girard.
Girard drops his hands momentarily and Crosby takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Girard is rocked!
Crosby weaves into range and cracks Girard right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Girard goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Crosby is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

A relieved looking Dany Crosby thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
