Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jurgis Tatumas (ranked 5353 p4p, 6871 weight class) and Kazuchika Okada (ranked 544 p4p, 626 weight class). Kazuchika Okada will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Okada. Tatumas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Okada ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatumas moves away.
Tatumas appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Okada scores with a one two! Tatumas had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Okada throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Okada throws a leg kick which misses Tatumas's front leg but catches the back leg as Tatumas tries to avoid it.
Okada tries a head kick but it misses.
Tatumas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Okada throws a looping overhand right but Tatumas ducks down to avoid it.
Tatumas tries to counter with a takedown but Okada is quick to defend against it.

Okada dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tatumas. That did some damage!
Okada lands with a straight right. Tatumas didn't see that one coming.
Okada tries to land a leg kick but Tatumas saw it coming and moves away.
Tatumas tries to counter with a takedown but Okada is quick to defend against it.

A little feinted left hand from Tatumas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Tatumas takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Okada shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tatumas eats them both and turns towards Okada to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Okada throws a shot from downtown. Tatumas moves away and avoids it.

so Tatumas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Okada looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tatumas is one step ahead there.
Tatumas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Okada on the ground.

Okada is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tatumas defends well.

Tatumas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Okada swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tatumas won't allow Okada to get back to his feet.
Tatumas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Okada's head.
Okada is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Okada wants to stand but Tatumas is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tatumas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

It looks like Kazuchika Okada has been cut.
Okada is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tatumas advances position into side control!
Okada is looking for a sweep.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okada is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Okada manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Okada can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tatumas controls from within his opponent's guard.
Tatumas wants to control from the top but Okada keeps moving.
Okada tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Okada wants to stand and escape but Tatumas is having none of it.

Tatumas distracts Okada with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kazuchika Okada's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kazuchika Okada's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
