Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Merowech Van Dhalism (ranked 5641 p4p, 3834 weight class) and Archie Paine (ranked 583 p4p, 464 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Merowech Van Dhalism! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Archie Paine! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paine clobbers Van Dhalism with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Paine swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Van Dhalism. Paine misses with a double jab.
A left and a right from Paine both land. Nice combination. Paine throws a nice looking combination but Van Dhalism bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Van Dhalism throws a leg kick which misses Paine's front leg but catches the back leg as Paine tries to avoid it. A combination from Van Dhalism does no damage. Paine is looking for the big counter here. Paine throws a right and a left that Van Dhalism avoids nicely. Van Dhalism seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Paine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Paine waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Van Dhalism. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paine fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Van Dhalism on the side of the head. Van Dhalism takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Paine takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Van Dhalism definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Van Dhalism avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Paine looks to throw the jab but Van Dhalism is out of range. Van Dhalism slips under a jab. Nice shot by Paine. Van Dhalism thows a left - swing and a miss! Paine avoids the body shot from Van Dhalism.
Van Dhalism drops his hands momentarily and Paine takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Dhalism slips a jab and a cross from Paine.
Paine might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Van Dhalism throws a head kick that half lands.
Van Dhalism needs to keep his hands up - Paine had a free shot at his head there. Van Dhalism scoring well with a low kick there.
A punch combination from Paine misses. Good leg kick by Van Dhalism. Paine throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Van Dhalism lands a jab to Paine's midsection. Paine lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Van Dhalism. It seemed like Paine was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Van Dhalism throws a looping overhand right but Paine ducks down to avoid it. Van Dhalism fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Paine manages to avoid it. Paine listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Dhalism walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Paine rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Van Dhalism moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Paine lands with a cross. A slow jab from Paine misses its intended target. Paine connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Van Dhalism momentarily.
Paine sizes up Van Dhalism with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Van Dhalism throws a nice outside leg kick. Van Dhalism bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Van Dhalism connects with a leg kick. Van Dhalism takes one to the chin there. Paine avoids a kick to the body.
Paine throws a left and a right that both miss
and Van Dhalism counters with a lovely straight right hand! Van Dhalism lands a big head kick that sends Paine tumbling to the mat! Van Dhalism takes a step backwards and waves Paine back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Paine is rocked!
It looks like Archie Paine has been cut. Paine misses with an uppercut. Van Dhalism saw that one coming. Paine is still on wobbly legs! Can Van Dhalism finish him? Van Dhalism connects with an inside leg kick. Paine scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Paine seems to have recovered his senses. Van Dhalism scores with a leg kick.
Van Dhalism throws a monster overhand right that drops Paine! Van Dhalism follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
