Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keilis Rivera (ranked 4625 p4p, 4751 weight class) and Ryen Lee (ranked 477 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keilis Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryen Lee!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rivera is looking for a counter combo.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rivera as he avoids it easily.

Lee takes the fight into the clinch.
A body shot lands from Lee.
Rivera has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lee blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Rivera drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lee pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lee throws a series of punches but Rivera avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee moves into the clinch.
Lee is trying to break free.
Rivera letting Lee take a breather here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Rivera gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rivera has him pressed against the cage.
Rivera landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Rivera crunches a lovely knee into Lee's ribcage.
Rivera is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Rivera manages to break the clinch.
Rivera fails with the takedown.

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rivera's guard.
Rivera throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Lee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rivera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lee has managed to get both his arms back between Rivera's legs - danger averted.
Rivera can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lee controls the pace.

Rivera has an active guard here but Lee has managed to pass into half guard.

Lee gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rivera is fending him off so far but Lee persists. Nope, Rivera circles away and we're back to standing.
As Lee looks to move away, Rivera throws a big counter combo but Lee just gets out of the way.
Rivera is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Lee steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Rivera.
Lee scores with a jab to the jaw.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rivera is defended easily by Lee.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Rivera fails with a takedown attempt.
Lee swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Lee clinches with his opponent.

Lee can't break the clinch.
Rivera tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rivera jumps guard but Lee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Rivera tries to pull guard but Lee won't allow it.
Rivera is breathing heavily.
Rivera tries to land a knee to the head but Lee blocks with his arms.
A right hook to the body lands for Lee.
Rivera tries to pull guard but Lee holds him up against the cage and eventually Rivera drops back down to his feet.
Rivera tries to pull guard but Lee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Rivera keeps him there for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rivera wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lee has him pressed against the cage.

Lee shoots in for a takedown but Rivera shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Despite the aggression on Lee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rivera as he jumps to the side.
Lee misses with a kick to the body.
Lee on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rivera. Rivera obviously looking to wear him down.
Rivera fails with a takedown attempt.
Lee is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Rivera shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rivera is looking to slow Lee down with leg kicks.

Rivera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lee throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lee shoots and misses
and Rivera counters with a nice uppercut.
Keilis Rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryen Lee.

Lee drives through and clinches with Rivera against the cage.

Rivera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rivera dives in for a single leg takedown but Lee sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rivera shoots and misses
and Lee counters with a two punch combo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lee gets a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rivera is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Rivera defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lee.

Lee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rivera's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Rivera blocking the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee looking to control and managing it successfully.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rivera is trying desperately to improve position.
Lee controlling from mount.
Lee throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rivera tries to reverse the position but Lee maintains control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ryen Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Rivera, which made it look bad.

Rivera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rivera slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Lee sneaks out the side door and pushes Rivera away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Lee goes for a double leg but Rivera avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rivera continues to drive forward.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Rivera tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rivera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rivera displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee.
Rivera drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lee sprawls and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lee drives through and clinches with Rivera against the cage.
Rivera is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Lee avoiding damage.
Ryen Lee seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Rivera drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Rivera keeps him there for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rivera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rivera looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.

Keilis Rivera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rivera throws a sloppy head kick
and Lee counters with a right hand to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters circle momentarily. Lee darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Keilis Rivera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ryen Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lee has Rivera pushed against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ryen Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
