BrokkenHauser throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maldi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Maldi has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Maldi controlling the pace for now.
BrokkenHauser tries to reverse the position but Maldi maintains control.
The referee warns BrokkenHauser that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maldi looking to isolate an arm here. BrokkenHauser doesn't see it coming and as Maldi extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Maldi!
