Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chame Boxing Champ (ranked 2305 p4p, 4738 weight class) and Carlos Gomez (ranked 297 p4p, 524 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chame Boxing Champ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Gomez! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez looking to score a takedown here. Boxing Champ is defending well but Gomez drives through and ends up in Boxing Champ's guard. Boxing Champ manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Boxing Champ takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gomez looks for the body kick but Boxing Champ saw that one coming. Boxing Champ looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boxing Champ clinches up with Gomez and pushes him back against the cage. Boxing Champ turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Boxing Champ manages to end up in side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boxing Champ is trying to get an arm triangle but Gomez is defending well. Gomez tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Boxing Champ easily slips into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boxing Champ pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Gomez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gomez is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Boxing Champ on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxing Champ tries to get out of the position. Boxing Champ is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gomez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boxing Champ keeping full guard, as Gomez tries to pass. Gomez stops Boxing Champ from standing up. Gomez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gomez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gomez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gomez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Boxing Champ is not content to let Gomez control the position. Boxing Champ takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Gomez trying to control the position but Boxing Champ is working away. Gomez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Boxing Champ's shoulder. That is not cool. Boxing Champ is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gomez trying to control the action but Boxing Champ is working from the bottom. Gomez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boxing Champ knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gomez trying to control the position but Boxing Champ is working away. Gomez tries to move to mount but Boxing Champ blocks the move with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boxing Champ regains half guard there - taking advantage of Gomez's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Boxing Champ is refusing to be controlled, as Gomez sits in half guard. Gomez tries to pass to full mount but Boxing Champ defends it. Boxing Champ is staying active underneath Gomez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Gomez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gomez is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chame Boxing Champ will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Boxing Champ throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gomez swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Gomez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Boxing Champ got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gomez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boxing Champ has managed to get both his arms back between Gomez's legs - danger averted. Gomez trying to control the position.
Gomez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boxing Champ can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gomez wants to sweep here but Boxing Champ controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gomez looking for a triangle here. Boxing Champ is fighting it but it looks tight! Gomez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Boxing Champ is tapping out - this one is all over!
